Complete kit consisting of the AIR COM radio with transponder (class 2) module for concealed installation, installation accessories, and AIR Control Display operating unit. This kit enables the use of a radio and transponder connected to one AIR Control Display operating unit.

This kit includes all required parts to use a VT-01 (Class 2) transponder module and an AIR COM 8.33kHz Radio with an AIR Control Display (ACD-57).

Please Note: When using the VT-01 Mode-S Transponder Mounting Rack, only antenna cables of type RG-400 are compatible (antenna cables not included).

What is the difference between Class 1 and Class 2?

Class 1 transponders are more powerful and increase your visibility to ground radar stations during long flights at higher altitudes (15,000ft+). For most glider pilots, a Class 2 transponder is sufficient and uses less battery power.
