The back is as important as the front

LX navigation strives to develop easy to use as well as easy to install gliding instruments. To provide clear functions and actions, we mark every button or rotary knob.

The same applies to the back of the device, where we mark each port. The installation and wiring should not take more than 30 minutes of your time.

Single CAN BUS cable accessories

LX navigation uses CAN BUS interface to deliver power and data to any device connected in the loop which means pilot can setup a new add on within minutes.

Connect a small, compact AHRS module via single CAN BUS cable to Era CAN port on the back of the device and AHRS page will appear.

Backup battery comes a standard

All LX navigation devices come with a built-in backup battery in case of electrical failure with at least 3 hours of operation,

Configuration of the main page

Pilots can choose which information will be displayed and 2 or 4 information layout boxes. Always visible are clock, outside air temperature (OAT), wind, battery and status icons. “VAR” marks the current vario mode which can be Vario (VAR) or Speed Command (SC).

Thermal assistant

Once a pilot enters the thermal and starts to circle, the Thermal assistant page will appear on the main screen. In the centre, is the relative direction of the wind with heading and speed.

On the left side of the screen, inside the vario scale is the Indicated airspeed tape. Follow the bigger red circles to hit the centre of the thermal (red for lift, blue for sink).

Connect your Era to an LX Joy

“Plug and play” ergonomic Joystick with hand-stitched leather finish will improve the dynamics in the cockpit and make pilots workload even easier. Control all the functions with clever 5-way central button and dedicated buttons for:
 
      • Up/down/left/right/push to confirm central button
      • BOX button will change the NavBox view
      • X button will exit the current menu
      • MC button will enter the MacCready, Bugs and Ballast setup
      • VOL button will enter the Volume setup
      • Push to talk button (PTT) will operate your Radio 
      • Speed control button in the back of Joystick

Your Era essential comes with technical support and two-year limited warranty provided by LX navigation (Slovenia).  As the UK LX navigation agent, we can liaise with them on your behalf and quickly resolve any issues you may have.

Returns are accepted within 14 days after you have received your device, with proof of purchase. To return an item, contact us at info@lxnavigation.com; return shipping is at your cost unless the item is defective. Refunds will be processed within 5 working days after inspection to the original payment method.
