Era is perfect for club gliders. The installation and use is simple and intuitive without compromising any features.
From the ground up, the graphical user interface has been redesigned and makes the user experience simple whilst being sophisticated.
The Era was designed as a modern upgrade for older vario-navigation units and will fit into the standard instrument panel cut-outs.
LX navigation strives to develop easy to use as well as easy to install gliding instruments. To provide clear functions and actions, we mark every button or rotary knob.
The same applies to the back of the device, where we mark each port. The installation and wiring should not take more than 30 minutes of your time.

LX navigation uses CAN BUS interface to deliver power and data to any device connected in the loop which means pilot can setup a new add on within minutes.
Connect a small, compact AHRS module via single CAN BUS cable to Era CAN port on the back of the device and AHRS page will appear.

All LX navigation devices come with a built-in backup battery in case of electrical failure with at least 3 hours of operation.
Numerous competition flights have been saved with backup battery power.
We designed the smart and intuitive button layout for the best user-experience in the cockpit.
User experience is superb, as you move through pages with rotary knob and select your options with push function. Each page is designed to be readable and clear to understand.
Transflective display technology is the best to use in cockpit. And we did it. The Era has the biggest display in an 80mm device on the market.
We strive to make our instruments easy to install and use. That is why we use CAN BUS to connect our devices.
It is always smart to have a backup. That’s why the Era has a backup battery and an IGC approved flight recorder built inside.
Choose between multiple LX accessories, all designed to be simply connected via CAN BUS and ready to use.
Pilot can choose which information will be displayed and 2 or 4 information layout. Always visible are clock, outside air temperature (OAT), wind, battery and status icons. “VAR” marks the current vario mode which can be Vario (VAR) or Speed command (SC).
Era comes with full navigation to Turnpoint (TP), Airport (APT), Task (TSK) and Nearest landable (NRST) which will navigate you at any given moment to the nearest landable point with airspace support on all navigation pages.
Once pilot enters the thermal and starts to circle, Thermal assistant page will appear on the main screen. In the centre, is the relative direction of the wind with its direction and speed.
On the left side of the screen is the Indicated airspeed tape and on the right side is the Altitude tape. Follow the bigger red circles to hit the centre of the thermal.

Your Era comes with technical support and two-year limited warranty provided by LX navigation (Slovenia). As the UK LX navigation agent, we can liaise with them on your behalf and quickly resolve any issues you may have.
Returns are accepted within 14 days after you have received your device, with proof of purchase. To return an item, contact us at sales@lxnavigation.co.uk; return shipping is at your cost unless the item is defective. Refunds will be processed within 5 working days after inspection to the original payment method.
